apple Baked Apple Slices Recipe - The kids will especially love this anytime dessert. It’s so simple that the kids can probably help.

Ingredients to make Baked Apple Slices Recipe

6 apples
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
Sauce:
1/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 cup water
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions to make Baked Apple Slices Recipe

Step 1:

Peel the apples, then core and quarter them. Arrange the apples in a shallow baking dish. Dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.

Step 2:

Bake @ 350 F, uncovered for 30 minutes While the apples are baking, make the sauce.

Step 3:

Combine the sugar, cornstarch and water. Cook over medium heat until thickened and clear; remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.

Step 4:

Pour this sauce over the apples and bake an additional 10-15 minutes or until the sauce bubbles and the apples are completely cooked. Serve warm.
